Digital Factor – They Will Forget You (When You Die)
German cult EBM / electro-pop act DIGITAL FACTOR return with the brand-new EP “They Will Forget You (When You Die)”, a sharp and energetic teaser for their upcoming album “0.8”.
This release also marks a new chapter for the band: alongside founding member Mike Langer, Gwendolyn Gaffa now officially joins DIGITAL FACTOR as a permanent studio and live member. The renewed chemistry is immediately audible, injecting fresh dynamics into the project’s trademark blend of melodic synth hooks and classic EBM pulse.
The title track “They Will Forget You (When You Die)” delivers a punchy and infectious slice of electronic pop driven by a deeper concept. Serving as a first glimpse of the forthcoming album “0.8”, the song pays tribute to 1980s pop culture, cleverly weaving modern production with subtle musical references and hidden quotes from the era that shaped the band’s sound.
The EP expands the track’s universe through a series of distinctive reinterpretations. Gwendolyn Gaffa offers her own remix perspective, while Kalle Vogel (drummer of LOGIC & OLIVIA) delivers an alternative take full of character. Completing the remix section, Carsten Canay injects pure dancefloor energy with a powerful club-oriented mix.

As a final nod to the band’s legacy, DIGITAL FACTOR close the EP with a live version of “You’re Going Down”, originally featured on their 2011 album “Trialog” – a reminder that the band is not only back in the studio, but also back on stage with a revitalized line-up.
A strong comeback signal from one of Germany’s long-standing electronic pioneers – and only the beginning of what “0.8” promises to unleash..
