Death Disco Open Air Festival @Technopolis Athens, Greece
Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 July 2023
Festival Preview
by Malice F.
Time has finally come for the Greek loyal goth and dark wave audience to enjoy a well-deserved, much anticipated and well organized dark open-air festival in Athens, Greece.
Death Disco is celebrating 10 successful and productive years of club existence, and not only, since apart from the club nights, its mastermind, Leo Skiadas organizes many gigs too, 15 amazing bands, 2 stages and an awesome and killer line-up, with VNV Nation as headliners on Saturday and the mighty Sisters of Mercy on Sunday, Sisters of Mercy, who performed last year live in Thessaloniki and Crete and having seeing them, we can definitely testify that Andrew Eldrich is in great shape and spirits, and will guarantee his fans a fantastic experience and walk down the memory lane.
With so many legends of the dark wave, gothic and minimal synth scene in the line-up, like Mecano, Sad Lovers and Giants, Absolute Body Control, Death Disco Open Air Festival has nothing to be jealous of the big well-known European festivals of the dark scene, a must-see event of this summer, even for visitors outside Greece.
Perhaps weather conditions aren’t exactly helping, since extreme heatwave is prevailing
these days, but certainly it’s an event that we can not miss!
