Metropolis Records is thrilled to announce the signing of beguiling industrial-electronic Vancouver-based music legend BILL LEEB for his debut solo effort ‘Model Kollapse’, which explores the intricacies of artificial intelligence and the survival of humanity itself. The first single ‘Terror Forms’, featuring SHANNON HEMMETT of ACTORS and LEATHERS, is out on July 9. This album also involves FLA/Delerium cohort RHYS FULBER, mixing engineer GREG REELY, ACTORS‘ frontman JASON CORBETT, and LA artist MIMI PAGE.
Having got his start with Skinny Puppy, Bill Leeb branched off to form FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY and later, DELERIUM, who grew to massive fame through collaborations with vocalists, including Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer), Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance), Kirsty Hawkshaw (Opus III), Emily Haines (Metric), Jacqui Hunt (Single Gun Theory), Matthew Sweet, Kristy Thirsk (Rose Chronicles). ‘Silence’ feat. Sarah McLachlan reached #1 in numerous countries, its remixes hailed among the greatest trance songs (the Tiësto remix was also voted the 12th-greatest dance track of all time).
