Το iconic φινλανδικό goth σχήμα The 69 Eyes επιστρέφει στην Αθήνα! Μπροστάρηδες του ευρωπαϊκού goth rock στερεώματος, το φινλανδικό κουιντέτο, εδώ και περισσότερα από τριάντα πέντε χρόνια μένει πιστό στα σκοτεινά του ηχοχρώματα, χωρίς να ακολουθεί μόδες και τάσεις.
Ξεκινώντας το 1989 στο Ελσίνκι, οι The 69 Eyes διαμόρφωσαν από νωρίς έναν ήχο που συνδύαζε το goth rock με το hard rock και το rock’n’roll, χτίζοντας μια ταυτότητα βαθιά επηρεασμένη από την ομορφιά της νύχτας, την αστική παρακμή, τον ρομαντισμό και το death-rock attitude. Ο όρος goth ’n’ roll, που χρησιμοποιείται για το υλικό τους, δεν αποτελεί μαρκετίστικο εύρημα, αλλά περισσότερο μια φυσική περιγραφή ενός ήχου που αδυνατούσε να χωρέσει στις ρηχές ταμπέλες του industry.

The iconic Finnish goth band The 69 Eyes returns to Athens! Frontrunners of the European goth rock scene , the Finnish quintet has remained faithful to its dark sound for more than thirty-five years , without following fashions and trends.
Starting in 1989 in Helsinki, The 69 Eyes early on shaped a sound that combined goth rock with hard rock and rock’n’roll , building an identity deeply influenced by the beauty of the night, urban decay, romanticism and death-rock attitude. The term goth ‘n’ roll , used for their material, is not a marketing invention, but more a natural description of a sound that could not fit into the shallow labels of the industry.
With a stable frontman, Jyrki 69 , and minimal line-up changes over the decades, The 69 Eyes remains a band with a solid identity and a clear vision. Albums like Wasting The Dawn, Blessed Be and Paris Kills defined an entire era for European gothic rock , while their later work has proven that the band is not stuck in the past, but evolves without altering the core of its sound.
