CD Review - SAM - BRAINWASHER

genre : Rhythmic Noise / TBM

release date : July 9 , 2010

label : ProNoize

Founded by the highly explosive duo Joe Meyer and Daniel Meyer, the industrial-project "SAM" released their first output "Demo Lition" in 2004. Directly afterwards they got signed by ProNoize, one of the most popular labels for industrial music. In 2006 ProNoize released SAM's debut album "Synthetic Adrenaline Music", including the clubhit "24 Stunden", which promptly entered the German Alternative Charts (DAC) as well as several other German and international charts.

Motivated by this achievement SAM started working on their second disc "Destruction Unit" in 2008, which should be harder than ever. That certainly worked out and the success proves them right. Meanwhile they established their reputation as an excellent live-act. Their uncompromising and powerfull live performance provided them many shows both in Germany and abroad. In addition they supported giants of the electro scene like Combichrist, Agonoize or [:SITD:], and also played on known festivals like the Wave Gotik Treffen and the Canadian Kinetik Festival.

Now , in 2010 they come back with a powerful combination of creativity and rennovation , that's ''Brainwasher''...and believe me it's gonna melt your brains! It's probably better than their previous work , and quite promising. SAM is the answer to the modern dark clubbing scene of Europe and this album could be described as the ''TBM music of tommorow''. When the clubhit ''24 Stunden'' was releasead back in 2006 from their debut album , it created 'whispers' that SAM eventually would become a great project. Actually , it happened and ''Brainwasher'' is the proof !  Joe and Daniel use powerful rhythmic  beats and sounds.Quite impresive sound I think! Strong and quite noizy! ''Starting the madness'' lasts only 1.40' however it's really insane just like ''Murder Inc.'' Both carry a very impresive sound , a dancing sound..After all , SAM is all about dancing . I won't say anything about ''Bull fucking shit'',we all know it already..,the second clubhit by SAM till now! And allow me to mark as amazing , two of their brand new tracks , ''Mad as Hell'' and of course , ''S-R'' which I'm sure is gonna be a new hit in the dark clubs of Europe. ''Halluzinogen'' is obviously perfect , as perfect  as ''Mindfuck'' , both of them represent what SAM wants us to see...Generally music like SAM's is always based on a collective of music samples and computer programs, that's obvious of course. However , our explosive duo managed to make an album really that goes beyond normal TBM and noise sounds..This kind of music is difficult to be recognised... As I said before , creativity is the word that matches to ''Brainwasher'' So..listen to the ''Untitled'' track of the album...You'll get my point...Well, we have a fantastic piece of work..,an album that's gonna terrorize all the dark clubs in the world...And I am certain that everybody is gonna understand  why the first track of ''Brainwasher'' is named ''WARNING'' ... The Meyers have warned us all...!

 That warning is ''Brainwasher''.
